UBS
One of the world's leading financial firms, UBS required the capture of around 800,000 images for upload into a document management system.
Capgen Ltd, in conjunction with their partners ACS and SRL, needed to provide a complete system, including hardware, software, staff and project management, to capture 800,000 images in a 2 month period. Due to the security of the documents, the scanning had to be done in-house at their offices in Finsbury Avenue, London.
With only a one week leadtime, Capgen were able to fully setup and install a complete capture system on UBS's premises ready to start scanning on the target date.
The process was to involve prep, scanning, full scan QA and document categorisation, before requiring the documents to be sent to another destination for upload to a DMS via securely encrypted USB harddrives.
Throughout this project, quality and security were the two top priorities and Capgen modified many of their procedures to comply with the restrictions outlined by UBS. In order to maintain the quality required by the client, we worked closely with them to understand their indexing requirements and held regular audits at key points throughout the process.
Not only did Capgen achieve the specified completion date, but they were also able to handle a few changes with the client's requirements within the same timeframe.
